Obituary of Naomi Socha

Naomi A. Socha, 99 of Sun City Center passed away on May 13, 2019 at Sun City Center Hospice House. She was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky to William Lee and Cora Viola (Smith) Slucher. Naomi met Edward J. Socha in 1948 at the General Line School, Newport, Rhode Island, where she worked as a stenographer for the United States Navy. They have been happily married for over 70 years. Naomi is survived by her children Donald E. Socha and wife Benita, of La Crosse, Wisconsin and Barbara A. Wilsey and husband Martin J., of Longmont, Colorado; five grandchildren, Joshua (Stephanie) Wilsey, Timothy J. (Juliana) Wilsey, Samuel J. (Elizabeth) Wilsey, Christina Socha and Xavier Socha; and twelve great grandchildren Alexa, Kian, Emelyn, Tanith, Cora, Erienne, Marilese, Emma, Grace, Abigail, Micah and Hannah. She is preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers Wilbur and Bernard Slucher.

 

A Memorial Service will be celebrated at Trinity Baptist Church on Thursday, May 16th, at 11:00 AM. Naomi will be laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
