Dear Gail and family,
I'll be attending mass here in Effingham on the 13th, so you know I will be with you in spirit. During this time of sadness, may your memories of this fun and loving man bring you comfort and peace. Gail, when Fred passed, you sent the nicest letter that really touched me. I still have it someplace with my treasures. In John's memory, I will make a donation to the Moffett
Cancer Center. We can pray that one day a cure will be found, and I do believe in the power of prayer. John surely passed peacefully knowing that his kids still had a beautiful mother for support, and you are really blessed with your four kids and families to love. Love to all, Judy

Our deepest sympathy to you Gail and your family, John on so many occasions spoke of how you both met and fell in love. I know he cherished you and his family. May God grant John eternal life and give you Gail and your family his Grace to endure. With much love and deep sadness Carole and Terry.

Where to begin?? I met JRM 2, aka, Pinky, as a freshman at CSC, now known as University of Northern Colorado in 1963. We both pledged Sigma Phi Epsilon and went through Hell Week together in 64. We (despite all odds and rational thinking), made it through school and graduated in four crazy, memory filled years. Jack was a groomsman in my wedding and we were lifetime friends for over 50 years.
Despite being in different areas of the country for many years, we reconnected when John, Gail and the kids moved to Portland. Our family’s spent time together and we got to watch the kids grow up, go to dinners out and play some golf.
Speaking on behalf of all your old Sig Ep brothers, and your many Oregon and Colorado friends, we raise our glasses to the Manley family. We’ll also sing a round of the ole Sig Ep classic, DRINK BEER
