The thought of having to say goodbye to you Poo is the most painful thing I have ever had to do. It has taken me weeks to gather enough courage to even attempt to share my tribute to you, my best friend. To think we ran the same playground at Horace Mann Elementary School, were roommates in college, roommates in Boston with Boots and Val, and throughout so many years have remained closer than most sisters I know. How we laughed our way through the decades, cried some, but we were always there for each other, your family became mine and mine yours. My Christopher and Warren III loved their Aunt Poo.... and their children Haley, Christine and Charlie, thought Aunt Poo was one "cool cat". I will be sure they know how you helped children, loved your nieces and nephews, your brothers and wonderful Toby, and, of course, your pets, and how you enjoyed a good book.
Poo, I just realized I can't say goodbye to you, I don't know how, so just save a place on your cloud for me, we will have a lot to catch up on one day, and much to laugh about, so until we meet again, remember your friendship has enriched my life for decades and I think we were both blessed to have each other as the dearest of friends.

So very sorry to hear Poo passed away. We haven’t been in touch since the 1960’s, we were in school together in Newport. My sympathy to all the family.

Please accept my sympathy for the death of Poo.
I graduated from Vernon Court with Poo. We lived in the same dorm. We all had great times together. Poo had the coolest hair and those bangs were like no one else’s. We lost track over the years but I will always fondly remember Poo.

The phone call from Flo Ann's sister-in-law, Toby, was a shock to us. Flo Ann, aka Poo to us, was a wonderful lady and like a sister to me.
I first met her on Nov. 11, 1970 in Boston. She lived there with three other young ladies making their way in a city away from home - the DC area.
That day I met one of her roomates, Beth, whom I eventually married. She was Poo's best friend from early days growing up in DC, college in Newport, and then Boston. We have lived on/off here in Gaithersburg since 1972. For the ime we shared living here with Poo she was a regular at our home on Saturday's - diner, etc. She and Beth were "special sisters" and it left a void when she moved away to Florida. But, she was determined to make a go of it. They kept in touch as if they were “together”.
Beth and I miss her terribly.

"Poo" was the older teenage cousin I admired as a child. She had the coolest record player and she rolled her hair on orange cans. "Mrs. Brown You've Got A Lovely Daughter" was a popular song at the time and I thought it was just amazing that I knew the lovely daughter. Poo was a wonderful woman and I'm just so sad to hear of her passing.

Florida Ann, your light shone wherever you went. We missed you when you left your place with us, but took heart that you would relax, be with family and fur people. We grieve now, because we know you aren't there any longer. Rest in peace, dear Flo Ann.

Truly devastated at this news. Flo Ann was a true friend and a committed social worker. I admired her commitment to her children and families in her caseload. She had a special type of humor which captured many, including me. I enjoyed having her as a friend. We shared a deep love of cats. I miss her.

I worked with Flo Ann for many years. She was a tough, but fair, social worker. I can’t believe she’s gone! She was so happy in Florida living her life to the fullest!! Rest In Grace, Flo Ann! You deserve it!!

Omg I can’t believe this. I just spoke to her not too long ago checking on the kitties. I am heartbroken. I gave Emma and Stella to her and she saved their lives when they were abandoned and gave them such a loving home. She will be missed!
