Obituary of Richard Alan Pistolese
Richard “Rich” Pistolese, 52 of Ruskin Florida passed away suddenly on December 13, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born and raised in New Jersey, he graduated from Freehold High School in 1984 and went on to complete his B.S. degree at Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL. Following that he attended Life Chiropractic College during which he discovered his passion for medical research and left to fulfill his new mission in life
Rich is survived by his wife, Constance (Connie); his parents Jacqueline and Richard Pistolese and three brothers: Michael and wife Siobhan Pistolese, Nicholas and wife Eileen Pistolese, and Eddie Acevedo. A granddaughter, Haily Jones; four nieces: Gabriella, Alexis, Giuliana and Makayla Pistolese, one nephew Malachi and Kecia Berger whom he considered his sister. He is preceded in death by 2 aunts Barbara Urbano and Mary Eleanor Herman. He is survived by 2 aunts; Anna Allen and Theresa Dattalo along with numerous cousins.
He was a board member and instructor of the Appleseed Project where he was affectionately known as “Doctor P or Doc P”. He loved fishing, shooting, scuba and snorkeling, and especially listening to music. He always made himself available to listen and offer advice to anyone he knew.
Rich left this world way too soon and will be sorely missed by anyone whose life he touched with his kindness, caring and humor. He will be remembered by his FSU Fraternity friends, Project Appleseed close friends and members, close friends and co-workers at his Memorial Service on Saturday, December 29, 2019 at 2 PM.
